Mrs. Zegers-ten Horn was born in 1927 in Nijmegen Academy of Arts in Arnhem, the in jewelry design and Decorative Brussels at the Ateliers Saedeledee weaving, studying with die great designer and weaver. She was inspired to create touch pictures and touch toys by a young blind friend, who had come to "view" her tapestries  with fingertips. A registered organization of volunteers was created under the Presidency of Mrs. Zegers-ten Horn and has functioned continuously since 1971. The Touch Toys organization has won many awards.
